8th Grade Spelling Bee

We had six finalists participate in the spelling bee on Thursday, January 9. 

Our top two spellers who will go on to the district bee at the Chambers Community Center on February 7 at 1:00 are Drew Morrow and Autumn Hilker. Winnie Huber is the alternate. 

CONGRATULATIONS to all who qualified and BEST OF LUCK to Drew and Autumn! 

Back at It

And we are back!

We started the year with doing Daily Language Workouts (in addition to our Daily Grammar Practice). The "Workouts" will help us with our proofreading and editing skills while correcting basic elements of grammar like mechanics and usage. We will be working on these throughout most of third quarter.

We also took a progress test to check our basic grammar skills. After correcting it, we got into groups to understand what we missed and write down the right answer along with WHY it was right.
